Andre Miras 2c0a79a817 Uses Python 3 syntax
This is a follow up for #482, uses Python 3 syntax:

- Removes some unused `super()` (no parent class)
- Removes `object` inheritance
- Drops `IS_PY2` logic
- Drops Python 2 imports
