0280fa0264 Convert block heights to int32.
This commit converts all block height references to int32 instead of
int64.  The current target block production rate is 10 mins per block
which means it will take roughly 40,800 years to reach the maximum
height an int32 affords.  Even if the target rate were lowered to one
block per minute, it would still take roughly another 4,080 years to
reach the maximum.

In the mean time, there is no reason to use a larger type which results
in higher memory and disk space usage.  However, for now, in order to
avoid having to reserialize a bunch of database information, the heights
are still serialized to the database as 8-byte uint64s.

This is being mainly being done in preparation for further upcoming
infrastructure changes which will use the smaller and more efficient
4-byte serialization in the database as well.

9350b939bc mempool: Correct cmd field for rejected txns.
This commit corrects an issue where the reject message sent in response
to rejected transactions had the Cmd field set to "block" instead of
"tx".

Fixes #436.

5f8dbab47a Add new option -maxorphantx
The option -maxorphantx allows the user to specify the number of
orphan transactions to keep in memory.

Also, lower the default max orphan count from 10000 to 1000.

a4a52ae24f wire: Remove errs from BlockHeader/MsgBlock/MsgTx.
This commit removes the error returns from the BlockHeader.BlockSha,
MsgBlock.BlockSha, and MsgTx.TxSha functions since they can never fail and
end up causing a lot of unneeded error checking throughout the code base.

It also updates all call sites for the change.

4696d16ed4 Fix race in FetchTransactionStore
Because FetchTransactionStore in GetBlockTemplate occasionally accesses
the internal blockchain memory structure while it is being read or modified,
a race can occur. To prevent this, FetchTransactionStore is instead
routed through the internal channel for blockchain requests.

1bf564d963 Fix #138 by dynamically updating heights of peers
In order to avoid prior situations of stalled syncs due to
outdated peer height data, we now update block heights up peers in
real-time as we learn of their announced
blocks.

Updates happen when:
   * A peer sends us an orphan block. We update based on
     the height embedded in the scriptSig for the coinbase tx
   * When a peer sends us an inv for a block we already know
     of
   * When peers announce new blocks. Subsequent
     announcements that lost the announcement race are
     recognized and peer heights are updated accordingly

Additionally, the `getpeerinfo` command has been modified
to include both the starting height, and current height of
connected peers.

Docs have been updated with `getpeerinfo` extension.

54d7951084 Process orphans on block acceptance.
For every transaction in a newly accepted block, process the orphan
pool moving now no longer orphan transactions to the mempool.

Previously, no longer orphan transactions would remain in the orphan
pool.

4c53599b67 mempool: Loosen restrictions for resurrected txns.
This modifies the recently added code which rejects free/low-fee
transactions with insufficient priority to ignore resurrected transactions
from disconnected blocks.  It also exempts resurrected transactions from
the free/low-fee rate limiting.

63c1172aa8 Automatically register for tx notifications after a rescan.
This changes the behavior of the rescan RPC to automatically set the
client up for transaction notifications for transactions paying to any
rescanned address and spending outputs in the final rescan UTXO set
after a rescanned is performed through the best block in the chain.

ecdffda748 Add support for an optional address-based transaction index.
* Address index is built up concurrently with the `--addrindex` flag.
* Entire index can be deleted with `--dropaddrindex`.
* New RPC call: `searchrawtransaction`
  * Returns all transacitons related to a particular address
  * Includes mempool transactions
  * Requires `--addrindex` to be activated and fully caught up.
* New `blockLogger` struct has been added to factor our common logging
  code
* Wiki and docs updated with new features.

c01d175fde Relay inv msgs now include underlying data object
* When an inv is to be sent to the server for relaying, the sender
already has access to the underlying data. So
instead of requiring the relay to look up the data by
hash, the data is now coupled in the request message.

869363a210 Switch peer.requestQueue from linked list to slice.
Only two operations are performed with this data structure: adding to
the back and removing from the front.  Because middle inserts and
deletions are never needed, a linked list results in overall worse
performance due to an extra allocation for each element's node, worse
cache locality, and the runtime cost of boxing/unboxing each item
during accesses.

On top of the performance gains, a slice is more type safe as it is a
true generic data structure making it is impossible to insert or
access an element with the wrong type.

c257da934e Improve double spend error strings.
The mempool's MaybeAcceptTransaction methods have also been modified
to return a slice of transaction hashes referenced by the transaction
inputs which are unknown (totally spent or never seen).  While this is
currently used to include the first hash in a ProcessTransaction error
message if inserting orphans is not allowed, it may also be used in
the future to request orphan transactions from peers.

c3065d32f4 Make use of the new btcchain MedianTimeSource.
This commit uses the new MedianTimeSource API in btcchain to create a
median time source which is stored in the server and is fed time samples
from all remote nodes that are connected.  It also modifies all call sites
which now require the the time source to pass it in.

4ad8622af9 Remove transactions from orphan pool.
This change removes transactions from a newly connected block
from the orphan pool if they exist.  Additionally, any orphan
transactions that are no longer orphan transactions are moved
to the mempool and inv'd to the currently connected peers.

000691dc9e Implement BIP0061 reject handling (pver 70002).
This commit implements reject handling as defined by BIP0061 and bumps the
maximum supported protocol version to 70002 accordingly.

As a part of supporting this a new error type named RuleError has been
introduced which encapsulates and underlying error which could be one of
the existing TxRuleError or btcchain.RuleError types.

This allows a single high level type assertion to be used to determine if
the block or transaction was rejected due to a rule error or due to an
unexpected error.  Meanwhile, an appropriate reject error can be created
from the error by pulling the underlying error out and using it.

Also, a check for minimum protocol version of 209 has been added.

Closes #133.

83cffc5d27 Use chan struct{} for tx/blockProcessed chans.
These channels are being used as semaphores, so it's more efficient to use
a 0-byte type and allow compiler optimizations for the specific use case.

fc5656894d Implement getblocktemplate long poll support.
This commit implements the long polling portion of the getblocktemplate
RPC as defined by BIP0022.  Per the specification, each block template is
returned with a longpollid which can be used in a subsequent
getblocktemplate request to keep the connection open until the server
determines the block template associated with the longpollid should be
replaced with a new one.

This is work towards #124.

eb7ecdcc22 Implement basic getblocktemplate BIP0022 support.
This commit implements the non-optional and template tweaking support for
the getblocktemplate RPC as defined by BIP0022.  This implementation does
not yet include long polling support.

This is work towards #124.

29a3bb6e69 Remove disconnect on unrequested transaction.
BitcoinJ, and possibly other wallets, don't follow the spec of sending an
inventory message and allowing the remote peer to decide whether or not
they want to request the transaction via a getdata message.  Unfortuantely
the reference implementation permits unrequested data, so it has allowed
wallets that don't follow the spec to proliferate.

While this is not ideal, this commit removes the functionality which
disconnects peers for sending unsolicited transactions to provide
interoperability.

f439dece37 Use chan struct{} for semaphores
With semaphores we don't actually care about the value passed in. It
makes sense to use a 0 bytes type in these cases.
There is also the added benefit of compiler optimisations for this
specific use case as described here:

21872ecdaa Update for recent btcchain ProcessBlock API change.
Now that the ProcessBlock function returns whether or not the block was an
orphan, the code which requests the parent blocks from the peer that sent
them has been moved to directly after the call to it.

This makes the handling more obvious and has allowed removal of the
blockPeer map which was kept so the notification handler could identify
which peer to request the blocks from.

e25b644d3b Implement a built-in concurrent CPU miner.
This commit implements a built-in concurrent CPU miner that can be enabled
with the combination of the --generate and --miningaddr options.  The
--blockminsize, --blockmaxsize, and --blockprioritysize configuration
options wich already existed prior to this commit control the block
template generation and hence affect blocks mined via the new CPU miner.

The following is a quick overview of the changes and design:

- Starting btcd with --generate and no addresses specified via
  --miningaddr will give an error and exit immediately
- Makes use of multiple worker goroutines which independently create block
  templates, solve them, and submit the solved blocks
- The default number of worker threads are based on the number of
  processor cores in the system and can be dynamically changed at
  run-time
- There is a separate speed monitor goroutine used to collate periodic
  updates from the workers to calculate overall hashing speed
- The current mining state, number of workers, and hashes per second can
  be queried
- Updated sample-btcd.conf file has been updated to include the coin
  generation (mining) settings
- Updated doc.go for the new command line options

In addition the old --getworkkey option is now deprecated in favor of the
new --miningaddr option.  This was changed for a few reasons:

- There is no reason to have a separate list of keys for getwork and CPU
  mining
- getwork is deprecated and will be going away in the future so that means
  the --getworkkey flag will also be going away
- Having the work 'key' in the option can be confused with wanting a
  private key while --miningaddr make it a little more clear it is an
  address that is required

Closes #137.

bcc78565fd Initial pass at updating to btcnet.
This change modifies the params struct to embed a *btcnet.Params,
removing the old parameter fields that are handled by the btcnet
package.

Hardcoded network checks have also been removed in favor of modifying
behavior based on the current active net's parameters.

Not all library packages, notable btcutil and btcchain, have been
updated to use btcnet yet, but with this change, each package can be
updated one at a time since the active net's btcnet.Params are
available at each callsite.

0a7543516c Update block manager chainstate for all sources.
This commit updates the block manager's local chain state when a block
processed by submitting it directly to the block manager as opposed to
only when it comes from the network.

Also, it modifies the submitblock RPC to use the concurrent safe block
manager process block instead of the unsafe btcchain version.

The combination of these two fixes ensure the internal block manager chain
state is properly synced with the actual btcchain state regardless of how
blocks are added.

ab002c90cc Implement a rebroadcast handler.
This commit implements a rebroadcast handler which deals with
rebroadcasting inventory at a random time interval between 0 and 30
minutes.  It then uses the new rebroadcast logic to ensure transactions
which were submitted via the sendrawtransaction RPC are rebroadcast until
they make it into a block.

Closes #99.
