The Issue

Add an option for explicitly setting the download folder in settings for LBRY on Android. This will let them easily open the downloaded content using the android file browser easily. And they can open the file using any app they prefer.

Thank you for your suggestion. Right now, the app selects the top-level Download folder in /sdcard as the default download location so that other apps can detect files. We'll look into supporting custom download folders in the future.
