Merge #16186: doc/lint: Fix spelling errors identified by codespell 1.15.0
b748bf6f50 Fix spelling errors identified by codespell 1.15.0 (Ben Woosley)

Pull request description:

  Note all changes are to comments / documentation.

  After this commit, the only remaining output is:

  ```
    $ test/lint/lint-spelling.sh
    src/test/base32_tests.cpp:14: fo  ==> of, for
    src/test/base64_tests.cpp:14: fo  ==> of, for
    ^ Warning: codespell identified likely spelling errors. Any false positives? Add them to the list of ignored words in test/lint/lint-spelling.ignore-words.txt
  ```

  Note:
  * I ignore several valid alternative spellings ~, but changed homogenous
  to homogeneous as the latter is a more specific term according to the
  Google dictionary definitions I found~
  * homogenous is present in tinyformat, hence should be addressed upstream
  * process' is correct only if there are plural processes

Bitcoin Core

Setup

Bitcoin Core is the original Bitcoin client and it builds the backbone of the network. It downloads and, by default, stores the entire history of Bitcoin transactions, which requires a few hundred gigabytes of disk space. Depending on the speed of your computer and network connection, the synchronization process can take anywhere from a few hours to a day or more.

To download Bitcoin Core, visit bitcoincore.org.

Running

The following are some helpful notes on how to run Bitcoin Core on your native platform.

Unix

Unpack the files into a directory and run:

  • bin/bitcoin-qt (GUI) or
  • bin/bitcoind (headless)

Windows

Unpack the files into a directory, and then run bitcoin-qt.exe.

macOS

Drag Bitcoin Core to your applications folder, and then run Bitcoin Core.
