Issue Summary
I upload videos to YouTube under a CC-BY-SA license to promote the arts and sciences. However, my CC-BY-SA license is missing in LBRY/Odysee.
Steps to Reproduce
It is time-consuming in Odysee to manually update my videos to indicate the CC-BY-SA license. I do not know whether this issue belongs in this repository or some other repository, however I cannot find contact information nor can I find a "default content license" setting for YouTube sync anywhere. I expected that videos I indicate in YouTube as having a CC license would automatically appear the same way in LBRY and in Odysee. If I wanted to manually sync content, I would not have used YouTube sync in the first place.
Thank for filing, moved the issue for you. Normally we only sync original content channels. We'll see if we can grab the license.
Thanks. Sorry, I meant to say: I know YouTube ad revenue does not interest me, and I favor advancement of the arts and sciences, so during upload of my original (legally speaking) content to YouTube (from Twitch) I specify a CC license. Perhaps there is some way I can best specify it such that the LBRY sync can easily pick it up.
(By original content I think you mean content originating on LBRY.)
This is a very good idea. Thank you for filing @ddugovic
In addition to picking up the proper license, we also need to add a link to the creative commons license near the youtube link. If we know which license, go to the right page per https://creativecommons.org/licenses/, and if not, link directly there.
option to only sync CC videos (maybe use one of the existing fields?)
