Re-opening as the user who originally brought this up still sees that on the YT version the images in the video are full width, but on Odysee, they are smaller.
With both webpage set to 100% zoom and at the same timestamp, the video is actually roughly the same size and there's no cropping or data loss. YT simply trimmed it's player and squished the comments section to match the trimmed width. Seems like little benefit?
